Important Disclaimer

OptX is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice. Options trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OptX (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. No Financial Advice

All content, calculations, strategy presets, payoff diagrams, probability estimates, and analytics provided by OptX are theoretical models based on publicly available pricing formulas (Black-Scholes-Merton). They do not constitute a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or derivative.

You should consult a licensed financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

3. Market Data

Market data is provided by third parties (currently Alpaca Markets) and may be delayed by up to 15 minutes on our free tier. Data may also be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. OptX makes no warranty regarding data accuracy and is not liable for losses arising from reliance on displayed data.

4. No Live Trading

OptX is an analysis tool only. It does not place trades, manage positions, or interact with brokerage accounts. You must execute trades through your own broker.

5. User Responsibilities

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OptX, its operators, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, or data loss arising out of your use of the Service.

7. Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

The OptX name, logo, source code, and content (excluding third-party data and libraries) are the property of OptX. The MIT License governs the open-source code repository.
